Internet and media
The internet has dramatically changed the way we use the media. Though the internet we get continuously updated news coverage and information instantly. Before the internet we would get news paper delivered once a day. The paper could only hold a limited amount of information that could be considered up to the minute coverage. The news would be shown on the TV once or twice a day. With the internet, the news is available at all times. The news is also more diverse and informative than other sources. Before the internet the media could edit the details. On the internet, you can find the complete and unedited truth stories from various sources. On the internet people will post their views on what is in the news. You can find information about different places and what is going on there. You can find pictures and videos on the internet that are not shown on the TV or in the paper. The internet has allowed people access to large amounts of information and to be more informed about that what they are concerned with. Many newspapers are available to read online. The news can be also be watched online this allows people to watch the news anytime that they want too not just when it is being shown on the TV.

I need sleep
I am so tired. I have not had that much sleep this week. There was a gas leak next to my house. The crews worked round the clock. They were jack hammering on and off both during the day and throughout the night. They finale got the leak fixed over the weekend. The next night I heard a noise and I went outside to check what the noise was. I smelled gas. I walked up to where the leak had been and did not smell anything. I came back to the front of my house and smelled the gas again. As I walked across the street the smell got stronger at the edge of my neighbor’s lawn. I called the gas company and waited. After a half an hour a truck showed up and the guy started to look for a leak. After ten minutes he said that there was a leak. It was 3:00 am he said that the crews were home and that they would be back in the morning. I had just fallen asleep when the jack hammering started again. They finished repairing the leak last night. This morning I was awoke to the sound of them patching the road.

Internet and Communication
The changes in communication that the internet has brought are dramatic. The ways that people can reach each other is now not only instantaneous, but also worldwide. The internet has made it easier to stay in touch with distant family members and friends. I do not believe that that email has made us any more impersonal than we were before. Writing an email is the same as writing them a letter. Email is just an electronic form of a regular letter that is delivered instantly instead of having to wait days for the regular mail to deliver it. If you call someone on a phone they have to answer the call. They may not be there at the time the call is made they will miss your call. When you create and send an email it will stay in the mail box until it is delete . It is much easier to send an email to many people at once rather than calling each person individually. If you are planning a party or a trip, you can get a more accurate headcount with less effort. Setting up times and dates to meet is more easily coordinated when multiple people can respond to an email with their available schedules. The internet has made it easier for people to plan time together.
